In late 2016, under the leadership of our Board of Managers, The Philadelphia Foundation launched a Second Century Strategy: a plan to guide our future service to the people of Greater Philadelphia.
We are pleased to share our 2016 Year in Review with the community by using that strategy as a lens. Showcased here are grants that improved our region and beyond, the contributions that build permanent philanthropic resources, the asset growth achieved through wise stewardship and investment, and initiatives that were launched during the calendar year.
None of this would be possible without the generous ongoing support of our donors. Thank you to all those in the Greater Philadelphia community who funded our work to collectively improve lives, tackle tough issues, sustain essential services and bring stakeholders together to advance a region where all can thrive.
